Check out this blog to learn more about the grant and how it supports Italian programs from recipient St. Catherine of Siena.
During its more than one hundred years of service to the Italian Community, Italian Community Services has supported both the teaching of English to new immigrants and the teaching of Italian to those whose first language is English. Each year, Italian Community Services (“ICS”), through the John C. Riccio Educational Grant Program, makes grants of limited amounts for specific needs to schools/and or organizations with exemplary Italian language and curricula. We request that any school or organization interested in applying for a grant would provide us with a statement of no more than three pages describing your school or organization and providing your tax status the breadth and scope of your language program, i.e. levels and number of classes offered how the grant would be used, i.e. textbooks, cultural programs, films etc. The John C. Riccio Educational Grant Program Committee will make its recommendations to the Board of Directors at the September meeting and inform applicants shortly thereafter. Please contact us to set a date for representatives of our Committee to visit your school/organization to facilitate a mutual awareness of your classes and our support program. We ask that your grant request be submitted to ICS by September 30, 2023 to be considered for a 2023 grant.
