Italian Organizations in North Beach

If you are thinking of moving to the area, or better yet, you’re already here, and looking for groups to be a part of and organizations to support, look no further!

The Le Donna D’Italia is a women’s group whose focus is on promoting and preserving Italian culture while strengthening Italian female heritage through building friendships and community. It was established in 2010 and is the first Italian women’s club in the area. They host various social events in order to preserve the Italian heritage.

The San Francisco Italian Athletic Club was founded in 1917. They are a fraternal organization with over 650 members. By joining this organization, you will have access to exclusive bars, gyms, events, and volunteer opportunities in the area. This club allows others to rent out their newly renovated ballroom for weddings and other important celebrations. In terms of volunteering, there are various sport tournaments that are hosted to give back to the community, from bocce to golf!

The Convivio Society’s mission is to provide advocates, donors, and volunteers to advance Italian cultural identity, preserve Italian cultural heritage, cultivate community and fellowship and foster multicultural awareness. Specifically, they are preserving Little Italy’s heritage through education, research, archival work, historical projects, exhibitions and events. They have various film, speaker, and music series to share with others the heritage of Italy and why it is important to continue practicing their culture.

These are just a few of the many different Italian groups you can join if looking to move to the area. Oh, and of course us, The Italian Community Services!
