John C. Riccio Grant

As part of Italian Community Services' mission to preserve Italian culture, we are proud to once again offer the John C. Riccio Grant, providing financial support to a wide range of Italian programs.

For the past 30 years, the Riccio Grant has empowered individuals of all ages to explore the Italian language, delve into cultural studies, and embark on transformative learning journeys – ensuring that the legacy of Italian heritage thrives for generations to come.

Applications for 2024 are now open (April 1, 2024) and close on June 30, 2024.

Grants will be announced and distributed in Fall 2024.

This grant serves organizations and institutions that teach Italian in the San Francisco Bay Area.

By offering financial assistance, it ensures that access to quality Italian language and cultural programs can thrive, regardless of financial constraints.

The John C. Riccio Grant not only promotes language proficiency but also fosters a deeper connection to Italian heritage, enhancing cultural diversity and enriching the fabric of our community.

Last Wednesday, February 21st, was a special day for us at Italian Community Services (ICS), as we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Burlingame High School's Italian class and their teacher, the talented Celine Perry as well as representatives from the BHS Italian Exchange Boosters Program.

Burlingame High School is one of the 8 schools that received the John C. Riccio grant from ICS that nurtures and inspires Italian cultural appreciation, language, and community connection.
