Position Summary
We are looking for someone to join our team who wants to work with ICS volunteers, oversee our donations, and support critical projects and events that support our mission. This position will give you exposure and experience with all of our core programmatic areas. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is ideal for someone who loves all things Italian, has experience growing and nurturing communities, and is passionate about leveraging tech to improve our work. This position requires the regular exercise of independent judgment and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the current volunteer program and expand the recruitment, communication, utilization, and recognition of volunteers
Develop and track metrics that measure volunteer, client, and donor impact
Manage (with ED support) ICS online platforms to include Constant Contact (for Marketing), Stripe (for donations), Benevity (for corporate donations), Guidestar, Canva, and others…
Design and publish an online monthly newsletter to solicit volunteers for specific events/projects, solicit donors, and overall communicate organizational updates
Contribute to the yearly newsletter
Support ED on all grant proposals
Coordinate and plan special events and projects (with ED support) to include:
Volunteer Appreciation Event x1
Donor Appreciation Event x1
Annual Fundraiser x1
Italian Heritage Parade Float x1
Care Package Program x 3
ICS Booths at Cultural Events x 2-3
ICS Cultural or Community Programs x 4-6
Essential Skills
2+ years of related experience with nonprofit, volunteer, social impact, philanthropic, and/or corporate social responsibility fields
Direct experience managing events and/or volunteers
Entrepreneurial spirit, creative problem solver, and a commitment to excellent work
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. A passion for developing and nurturing relationships
Comfort with and interest in leveraging technology to make our work more efficient and scalable
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to plan, set goals and objectives, organize, and follow through
Resourceful and able to work successfully with limited resources
Scrappy and a willingness to wear many hats
Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual: Italian/English
Experience with nonprofit, volunteer, social impact, philanthropic, and/or corporate social responsibility fields
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management or similar
Work Location
In one of the most iconic areas of San Francisco, North Beach and in one of it’s most iconic buildings the famous Casa Fugazi.

As trustees of Casa Fugazi, we leverage our space for the benefit of the community it was built for.
