A Little Fellow: The Legacy of A.P. Giannini
A Little Fellow is a moving documentary dedicated to Amadeo Pietro Giannini — a man whose vision transformed banking and opened doors for generations of dreamers.
It was a true honor for Italian Community Services to co-present this special screening at Cowell Theater, alongside Museo Italo Americano and the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club Foundation, with the support of Le Donne d’Italia.
Giannini was not only a pioneer in banking — he was also a founding member and key benefactor of Italian Community Services. His commitment to uplifting the immigrant community continues to inspire our mission today.
Before the screening, guests were treated to a rare glimpse of Giannini’s original 1933 Lincoln automobile, made possible by the generosity of Randy and Linda Welch.
The evening featured an engaging Q&A with director Davide Fiore and producer Sacha Smith, moderated by Executive Director Vyria Paselk Haverhals, who led a thoughtful conversation on Giannini’s legacy and the making of the film.
The celebration continued at the Museo Italo Americano with a lively reception featuring excellent food and wine courtesy of the SFIAC Foundation, along with a special opportunity to view Giannini’s original desk and personal desk set — a meaningful donation from the Bank of America Corporate Archives.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Claudio Cipollina and David Mendoza for helping make this extraordinary contribution possible, and to all who joined us in honoring this remarkable Italian American.
